Hey, I really hope you still check this site.

I have a "business" PC since my dad hates that I play video games and has tried to screw me over. I mainly play WoW, and I'm fine typically with my fps, but in certain raids it simply plummets from 20 some to 1. I want to be able to get at least 5-7 fps in the situations that typically give me 1.

I have an NVIDIA Quadro 135M with 128Mb dedicated.
I DO have windows vista, but can easily switch over to XP.

I have gone into BIOS to try to overclock my processor or try to bolster more RAM for my video, but cannot. My settings in the game are all on low and based on performance.

I am not looking for quality, I simply need my frame rate to improve and I was hoping to squeeze a little more fps from my non-gaming computer. I'm just not sure if overclocking or opening more pixel pipelines is the best choice, or switching to XP. - Stacey_B

@Zain frm chilliwack - You can try overclock on that card but I wouldn't recommend it. Also this card has no unlockable pipelines.

@firdaus - For ATI cards use ATI Tray Tools, is a simple and reliable OC tool. The ATI video cards has no unlockable pixel pipelines.

@Fiore - Yes, you can perm-damage your video card, be careful!

@matt - Your system is a "business" PC, not a "gaming" one. I recommend you to downgrade back to Windows XP for this system and, if possible, add a stand-alone video card.

@Johan - Nowadays the video cards are cheaper and cheaper, but the best choice would be 8800GT 512MB or 8800GTS 512MB. - Stefan Scanteie
