This is a top of logo design tips realized for help the designers but also the .

If you are going the easy way and want a professional logo you should consider a

1. Your logo should be compatible with the image you desire to have.

This means that the for an Real Estate company should be more serious than a logo for a toy shop.

2. Your should be defined by simplicity.

Don’t use fancy fonts or complicated images or graphics. No one likes logos that take several minutes to understand their meaning.

3. Your logo should be easy to remember.

That is the essence of a logo creation: the customer or the potential customer should easy remember the logo design and associate it with the product or the company.

4. A logo should look good in black and white.

That is because a company often use the logo in black and white, in faxes for example.

5. Separate the graphics from the text.

That is why you probably need to use them, especially the image, alone.

6. Take care about proportions.

Assure yourself that your logo keeps a proper proportion between height and width. You don’t want a logo too tall and skinny because this is not visually agreeable.

7. Take care about sizes.

Does your logo look nice on a business card and a street banner in the same time? If this condition is not satisfied you should definitely change your logo design.

8. Pay attention to colors.

The combination of colors must be agreeable, but don’t choose silver or gold for your logo because you increase the future costs of printing. Also don’t use too many colors on your logo 1 to 4 colors are enough.

Chris,
Before choosing on which logo design site to design a logo for you, check their portfolio first and foremost. If their batch of displayed designs fits your requirements or the style of your ideal logo, then go for it. Also, you have to take note on whether they provide unlimited revisions, money-back guarantee and no usage of clipart or recycled logos. I've used LogoDesignCreation (http://www.logodesigncreation.com) countless times and their designs are wonderfully professional and iconic. Plus, with a starting price tag of $39, it's definitely worth every dollar spent. Highly recommended.

One thing to also remember is that a logo should last "the test of time" as in the logo must maintain its look and appeal even if industry trends and fads were to change. Many companies face this issue when their brand is perceived as old school or not up to current market conditions. Those are my two cents, what do you think?

Create a full-page print out of your logo and put it up on the wall. Look at the print out from the other side of the room (maybe 10 ft away). You should be able to read any text easily and see any detail of the logo. If anything is hard to see the balance, contrast, simplicity or font choice of your logo probably needs improvement.
